Writers         : Imam Tantowi, Donny Dhirgantoro

Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck is one of Indonesian movie released in 2013 on the theme of love and cultural conflict in 1930’s. The story begins when a young man of Minang descent who lives and grows in Makassar, Zainuddin (Herjunot Ali) go to Batipuh, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra, in order to know the birthplace of his father and deepen his religious knowledge. Zainuddin’s arrival was not well received by the villagers because of the history of the Zainuddin’s descendant─whose father comes from Minang marry his mother who comes from Bugis. At that time, the structure of Minang people manages the ancestry from maternal lineage. However, Zainuddin strengthens his heart to remain in Batipuh, especially when he met a beautiful girl named Hayati (Pevita Pearce). After that, they fall in love and Zainuddin’s descendant was again being the obstacle of their romance. Zainuddin was forced to leave Batipuh because their relationship deemed unfit. However,  Zainuddin and Hayati promised to love each other.
The problems get bigger when Hayati proposed by a wealthy man of pure Minang descent, Aziz (Reza Rahadian). Forced by her family, Hayati accepts the proposal and breaks her relationship with Zainuddin. Zainuddin chooses to leave Minang island and ventured to Java island after his heart had been broken by Hayati. With his talent as a writer, Zainuddin managed to gain fame as well as material happiness. Meanwhile, the destiny between Zainuddin and Hayati did not necessarily stop. Inadvertently, Zainuddin again met with Hayati who has now become the wife of Aziz. As might be expected, their turbulent love then started burning again.
This movie is remarkable because each part of the story is described so smoothly. The characters of this movie successfully deliver a deep emotion to the audience. As usual, Reza Rahadian plays impeccably. When Herjunot Ali and Pearce Pevita still seen trying hard to turn their character, Reza Rahadian appears so easy in the figure of Aziz. Pevita Pearce also successfully demonstrated with good acting skills. Although the character of Hayati still feels not so ripe, Pevita capable of displaying the figure of the girl who lived in the 1930’s with the problem of conflict between tradition and her romance with a performance that will be able heartbreaking. However, the strongest performance in Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck clearly comes from Herjunot Ali. Herjunot managed to give a pretty deep emotional touch to his character, reciting poetic dialogues given to his character well and makes the character Zainuddin was so easy to get the sympathy from the audience. Other acting appearances were quite a surprise present from Randy Nidji who recently made his acting debut through, but managed to give the appearance that is so convincing.
I recommend this movie because of its epic classy romance which is so hard to find in Indonesian’s movie in recent years. I give four stars to this movie. You have to watch this!

If only there was Aaron (Jeffry Yanuar), a 15-year-old boy with mental retardation, is schooled by her mother to not only catch a chicken at home, would never occur to this story. Muslim or Mrs. Mus and Mr. Harfan, two people who continue to struggle this school. They want the poor children are entitled to reach the ideals. A sense of surrender, despair, experienced Mr. Mus and Mrs. Harfan in the absence of interest and costs for the poor to educate their children.

Among the many challenges and pressures to give up, Ikal (Zulfani), Lintang (Ferdian) and Mahar (Veris Yamarno) with talent and intelligence emerged as the driving spirit of their school.
The film is filled with stories about the suburb, the story of the struggle of life reach the dream of touching, and a beautiful friendship that saves human lives. As is known, this film adaptation of the novel of the same, Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata. This is Andrea's first novel. Reportedly, this novel is a memoir of her childhood and all the real culprit is. Laskar Pelangi is your childhood friend Andrea while attending school in a poor village school in Belitong. But, is not explicitly mentioned in the novel by Andrea Hirata that it is a true story. After being appointed to the big screen, the film directed by Riri Riza managed to show the late 1970s setting. Beautiful and attractive scenery make this film is not boring to watch from beginning to end. Adequately represent the content of stories portraying the spirit of the pursuit of ideals.
The film was a success mixed up feelings of the audience. There is a serious seasoning, funny, and sad. There is one scene that is funny when Ical fell in love with A Ling. Love the monkey started to buy chalk. Next, Ical willing to do anything to be reunited with A Ling, though for that he should share the lime to children Laskar Pelangi. The Review and Moral Value of Film 5 CM

Genre              : Fiction
Director           : Rizal Mantovani
Producer          : Sunil Soraya
Writer              : Donny Dhirgantoro
Cast             : Herjunot Ali, Raline Shah, Fedi Nurul, Pevita Pearce, Denny  Sumargo, Saykoji.

The story started by introducing the setting of the movie. It was around Cikini ( Chicken Porridge Seller), In this place a story about friendship grew for many years. It was about a friendship between five different persons they were Zafran ( Herjunot Ali), Arial (Denny Sumargo), Ian (Igor Saykoji), Riani (Raline Shah), Genta (Fedi Nuril). Each of them has different characters for example: Arial, he was look like a Rambo and always brought ketchup every where he go. Ian, he was fat and like to eat noodles and always watched porn movies . Riani, the most beautiful woman between them, she likes to drink noodles soup that she asked from Ian. Zafran, he was a poem lover. And the last is Genta, he has a good live and a good work.
And the next, the movie continued to Arial’s house. They met with arial’s parents and arial’s sister, her name is Arinda she usually called Dinda. Zafran fell in love with Zafran at the first sight. They usually gathered in the Arial’s  garden house.  There Genta told to his friend about his idea, he asked his friends to go out from the box for three months. And then they dealt for three months without any communication between them until Genta give an information about where they will suppose to meet again and Genta promised to invite his friends to do something in some place so they can get unforgettable experience that they ever had.
After three months later, finally Genta contact his friends and made an appointment to meet in Senen Train Station, there they don’t have any idea about what will be happen until they arrived in a strange location for them. It was Sumeru Mountain. One week before they meet, Genta asked his friends to bring some hiking equipments such as: carier, tent, lamp, some snack and do small exercise before they go. They started their adventure and continued the journey to Bromo and then they started to climb the highest mountain In Java Island, Mahameru Mountain. Their journey was not well, they met some problems, Zafran’s leg suddenly bleeding, they had lack of water in the middle of journey, Arial almost died because of the worst cold. Arinda and Ian hit some rocks from the top of the mountain. Arinda’s ears bleeding until she couldn’t hear anything, and Ian had unconscious and it made his friends panic and predicted that he was died. After they fought with a great problems finally they can reach the top of Mahameru Mountain, they flagged the Indonesian’s flag there.
I like this movie because it introduced each of the characters by taking unique point of view, it makes the audience can feel the joy of the movie. Especially when introducing Ian with his noodles and porn movies . The friendship between them is filled with love story during their journey to Mahameru Mountain, it was so funny and full of love.
The movie was good and funny but the story is not too deep. Especially about nationalism messages. The love story is not clear so the audience still confused and not satisfied, because the movie is not full just like the novel. But this movie is worth to be watched for relaxing and to open our mind about how beautiful is Indonesia.
